WHAT IS THE ANNUAL FUND?
The Annual Fund is the school's most important fundraising program, providing unrestricted, immediate-use dollars that support the school's rigorous curriculum, dedicated teachers and wide-ranging extracurricular opportunities. The Annual Fund is a yearly fundraising effort that underwrites the operating budget of St. Joseph Catholic Academy. This year the Annual Fund runs from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017. Gifts are solicited from alumni, parents, friends, corporations, and foundations.
WHY IS MY PARTICIPATION IMPORTANT?
SJCA is a nonprofit institution committed to educating students. Tuition covers about 82% of our operating expenses, and without a strong Annual Fund, classes and programs that we rely on could be reduced or eliminated. We strive for 100% participation from our current parents and staff. When applying for grants, many times foundation ask us about percentage of participation among various constituents, including parents, alumni and school leadership donating to the Annual Fund. Your gift does matter!
WHY AM I BEING ASKED TO MAKE A GIFT? I ALREADY PAID TUITION AND STUDENT FEES TO SJCA.
Tuition and student fees cover approximately 82% of SJCA’s operating budget. By making a modest gift to an area of your choice within the Annual Fund, you help ensure that a students’ classroom experience doesn't suffer! The extra 18% not covered by tuition comes from other revenue, including the Annual Fund.
WHAT IF I CAN’T GIVE A LOT OF MONEY? I'M ON A TIGHT BUDGET.
That same statement is true for many alumni and friends. Any gift to the Annual Fund is valuable, and you have the chance from now until June 30, 2016 to make your contribution. The only gift too small is no gift at all.
A recurring monthly gift is an easy and affordable way to support SJCA. You can specify a day of the month for a chosen amount to be charged to your credit card, dividing your gift amount over the course of the fiscal year (July 1-June 30). You can choose this option by calling the Development Office at 262-654-8651 ext. 118.
WILL I BE ASKED TO MAKE A GIFT EACH YEAR?
Yes. Just like the name suggests, the Annual Fund is a yearly fundraising effort to raise voluntary contributions from alumni, parents, faculty, staff and students. The contributions fund the current academic year's operating budget.
WHAT IS THE ANNUAL FUND GOAL THIS YEAR?
The Annual Fund goal for 2016-2017 is $250,000. This year we would like to surpass this goal because all gifts above and beyond our annual fund goal will be used towards campus enhancements and capital projects.
