The St. Joseph Catholic Academy (SJCA) Theater Department presents the 2017 spring musical WORKING: THE MUSICAL in the Arneson Auditorium at the SJCA Upper Campus. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on March 10, 11, 17, and 18 and at 2 p.m. on March 12. The production is directed by Paul Connolly.
The characters of WORKING are everybody you know and the situations are everyday situations. But this musical is anything but ordinary! A different look at the seemingly humdrum lives of working people reveals a myriad variety of hopes, aspirations and dreams. To some, life is a Monday to Friday drudge, but to others there is great pride in their daily routine.
The musical adaptation of the Studs Terkel book features a powerful contemporary score with songs by Stephen Schwartz, James Taylor, and Lin-Manuel Miranda among others, backed by a vital and dramatic book makes this show a winner. Tickets are $10 each and go on sale February 1, 2017 at the SJCA Upper Campus main office located at 2401 69th Street in Kenosha. Tickets are also available at the door the day of the performance.
