Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is for 4th and 5th graders who love to read. Their challenge is to read 30 books, memorize the titles and authors, and be able to answer questions pertaining to material within or about the books.
A Battle of the Books competition takes place between all of schools in Kenosha that have this program. This where competitors answer various questions pertaining to any or all of the 30 books that were read.
There are 10 people on a team and two teacher reps. They meet once a week to write questions and read independently. More people can belong to the club, but the team is picked on the amount of books read and how they do in pre-competion battles.
