St. Joe’s Theater Dressing Room Refurbishing Eagle Project
As a Boy Scout Eagle Project, Anthony Sheard, a sophomore, will be refurbishing the theater dressing room. Plans are to repaint the steps, floor, walls and stairwells. He plans to replace the carpeting and abrasive tape on the steps. He also plans to build a portable prop table island to be used for making costumes and storing props.
Anthony needs to raise $2,144 for this project and is looking for donations. For any family or individual that donates $25.00 or more to this project their name will be displayed in our dressing room.
Please send donations to St. Joseph Catholic Academy (2401-69th Street – Kenosha, WI 53143). Checks can be made payable to “St. Joseph Catholic Academy”. In the memo please write “Eagle Project”. Any donation to his project is greatly appreciated.

HERE SHE IS.... St. JOE'S VERY OWN MISS AMERICA!!
With tremendous pride, SJCA offers our congratulations to Laura Kaeppeler, St. Joseph High School Class of 2006, on winning the title of Miss America! Laura, who was crowned Miss Wisconsin in June, competed in the Miss America pageant in Las Vegas on January 14 and captured the crown. She is the first Miss Wisconsin to win the national crown since 1973.
In the talent competition, she wowed the audience with her operatic voice in a phenomenal performance of Luigi Arditi's classical aria, Il Bacio. After graduating from St. Joe's, Laura matriculated to Carthage College where she graduated from in 2010 with a degree in vocal performance.
Her platform, Circles of Support, is a mentoring program for children of incarcerated parents which comes from her personal experience as the child of an incarcerated parent. She founded Circles of Support, a mentoring program for children of incarcerated parents. For information on Circles of Support, please visit her website at www.laurakaeppeler.com.
As the new Miss America, Laura will spend the next year touring the country to speak to groups and raising money for the Children's Miracle Network, the Miss America Organization's official charity.
Congratulations to the entire Kaeppeler family from your St. Joe's family.
