Resource Department
Mission
The Resource Department of St. Joseph High School assists students with special learning needs in reaching their full academic potential. By working closely with students, teachers, and parents, the Resource teachers help students achieve success in school, learn to advocate for themselves, and develop post high school goals.
Goals
- Provide a Christian learning environment where students feel welcomed, accepted, and appreciated.
- Provide individual assistance that enables each student to learn at their own level, in their own way.
- Provide, in conjunction with the regular classroom teachers, appropriate modifications and accommodations to the student’s schoolwork.
- Provide students with insights into their own learning style, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Provide constructive communication with student, teachers, and parents to develop a supportive framework for student learning and growth.
