St. Joseph Catholic Academy is proud and pleased to once again offer J-Term, a unique, hands-on learning session that provides our students with opportunities that ignite curiosity, creativity and inspiration.
From Wednesday, January 4th, through Friday, January 13th, (half day), our middle and high school students will immerse themselves in courses that are deliberately experiential, giving them the time and freedom to explore topics outside of our normal college preparatory curriculum. Specifically identified as a "powerful practice" by our AdvancED accreditation team, J-Term provides our students with a distinctive experience that helps reveal talents, gifts and passions.
Student, teacher and parent feedback continues to inform our J-Term offerings, and we believe you will find our faculty and staff have created an incredibly strong and exciting collection of courses. J-Term 2017 will be an exceptional experience.
Following is some important information regarding J-Term 2017:
Students will select one morning class and one afternoon class, each 2 hours and 45 minutes in length.
Students in grades 6 - 9 and grade 11 will experience their annual retreat during J-Term.
Juniors and seniors can participate in a J-Term internship. Last year, 30 students participated in this experience. More information can be found on page 3 of the J-Term catalog.
