Academics

St. Joseph Catholic Academy students are guided and nurtured to develop lifelong habits of mind which are coupled with the core values of our Catholic faith tradition:  understanding the scriptures and the sacraments, praying the liturgy, and practicing the virtues of faith, hope and charity.  Through teacher modeling of these values, students at St. Joseph Catholic Academy readily grow to become:

  • Principled, knowledgeable, able inquirers, open-minded complex thinkers, and effective communicators.

  • Caring, respectful, balanced and reflective members of their families, communities, and the larger, global society.

  • Citizens who contribute positively to their local communities, their nation, and the world.

There is a strong sense of family when you enter our school.  Whether it is students helping each other, through our Lower Campus “buddies” or mentoring by our older students; staff bonding with, assisting and mentoring each other; or parent volunteers in the classroom or outside the classroom, we follow Christ’s call to serve one another.

Academic Programs —  We have a seamless preschool-12 academic curriculum:  An extensive foreign language component, including Spanish, French, and Italian that is available for even the youngest students, beginning in kindergarten, One-to-One Laptop program for students in grades 6 – 12, K-12 technology skill sets for 21st century learning, and much more.

Beyond the Classroom — We embrace our Catholic faith by modeling the teachings of Christ through example and service. Our students will make a difference in this world by being responsible citizens and by living the Christian values that affirm the dignity of all faiths and the unique gifts of each person.

Outstanding Faculty — SJCA students are inspired and supported by an exceptional faculty.  They provide a positive learning environment, serve as role models and shape students’ lives forever.  We offer our staff ongoing academic and spirituality enrichment programs.

Along with the built in curriculum instituting Catholic Values, we also provide programs in the arts, athletics, clubs and community service.  SJCA students have a multitude of extracurricular options that are not only fun, but also develop confidence, build leadership and teamwork skills.
